About the Event
Project in general:
The workshop series: "Open Research behind closed doors " is conducted in the course of the project "Open Research behind Closed Doors: Assessing the impact of Covid-19 measures on persons deprived of liberty with psychosocial and intellectual disabilities". The project is carried out by the organizations: the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute of Fundamental and Human Rights together with the organisations Strafvollzugsarchiv (Germany), Antigone (Italy) and Selbst- und Interessenvertretung zum Maßnahmenvollzug (Austria)
Goal of the project:
- understanding of the challenges persons with psychosocial and intellectual disabilities who are deprived of liberty are facing during the current Covid-19 pandemic
- development of recommendation on how the situation can be improved in times of pandemics.
